Time to Take Action

Step 1: Know your goals and apply with a purpose in mind. Are you looking to build credit, earn rewards, or avoid fees and high interest rates?

Step 2: Check your credit score. It affects your ability to be approved for a credit card, so use a free tool like Credit Karma to check your score.

Step 3: Want to avoid multiple hard credit checks that lower your credit score while you explore your options? Seek pre-approval before applying!

Step 4: Once you're approved and receive your card, try to keep your credit utilization below 30% to avoid negative impacts to your credit score.

Step 5: Pay down your statement balance in full every month before the payment due date to avoid any interest and late fees.

Step 6: Enjoy a high credit score and awesome benefits!
